Nowadays, terms like sustainability, social impact, regeneration, or even ecology are pretty familiar and one can hear or read them frequently. Because they progressively gained in popularity, some could think that these concepts are recent and emerged in the past decade or so, when in fact, the environmental and social movement is much older than this.

Through this timeline infographic, we will go back in time and highlight how sustainability, ecology, social impact and environmental accountability have progressively gained in importance and evolved through the past 50 years, via mobilization, disaster, governmental action and more.
